Insects

The Lawn Guard service provides you with a professionally formulated blend of broad spec insecticides that kill over 40 species of insects.

These include lawn insects such as chinch bugs, sod web worms, white grubs and mole crickets; plus shrub and tree pests such as scales, mealy bugs, aphids, white flies, mites, caterpillars and leaf miners.

Also included are nuisance pests such as fleas, ticks, chiggers, ants and many more.

Disease

Our fungus and disease chemicals suppress the nine major diseases attacking your lawn and shrubs; Including dollar spot, brown patch, grey leaf spot and helminthosporum.

Most companies charge extra for this all important service.
Weeds

It is no secret that the most effective weapon against weeds is a healthy, thriving turf grass. Our watchdog program along with your proper watering and mowing practices will give you that weapon.

In addition, weeds are treated on every regular visit except in the heat of summer. At that time there is too much danger of damaging the turf grass.

Due to the nature of herbicides, only about 80% of the weeds can be controlled with chemicals

Fertilizer

LAWN GUARD’s specially blended liquid fertilizer is applied over lawn and shrubs every eight weeks. The blend changes throughout the year to fit the turfgrass needs.

In the spring, a high nitrogen fertilizer is applied to hasten Greenup; in the winter, the nitrogen is reduced and an additive to encourage root growth, help fight winter disease and harden off the grass to minimize cold damage is incorporated.

At all other times, a maintenance level of fertilizer is used.

Shrubs

All shrubs are inspected for insects and disease each time we treat your property and insecticides and fungicides are applied where needed.

As far as we know all other companies charge extra for this service. We believe that your shrubs are just as important as your turf grass so shrub treatment is included
